A contract must be filed
whenever and wherever you
work.
Working without a contract
makes it impossible for your
union to protect you! All SSDC
Collectively Bargained Agreements
and Special Contracts protect your
property rights, right of first
refusal, and electronic rights. If
you do not file a contract, you are
giving up these rights. If you have
any questions regarding rights
and protections, contact us at
info@ssdc.org

Special Contracts

Because SSDC members must file a contract whenever and wherever they work, the Special Contract is applicable in arenas not covered by a collectively bargained agreement. This contract is not collectively bargained, so there are no minimum fees. Members file the Special Contract with fees ranging from $0 to several thousand dollars. Property rights and rights of first refusal are protected under the Special Contract. The employer will be responsible for a pension contribution of 8% of the contract's fee, plus a health contribution on all contracts.

Special contracts must be filed prior to the first rehearsal with accompanying pension and health contributions. Late contracts (subject to fine) WILL NOT be accepted by SSDC if received more than 90 days after the first rehearsal.
